Summary
Shane Hollander hadn't meant to get drunk by any means. It had started with just wanting to be nice, appreciating his friends’ care and consideration post-breakup more than anything. Somehow, he ended up drunk in front of a towering Billboard of Ilya Rozanov, and the feelings he tried to shove down for months boiled over. He couldn't remember when he had started crying. He definitely couldn't remember calling Ilya and drunkenly baring his soul to him. Oddly enough, maybe it was just what they needed to find each other again.

Shane drunk calls Ilya post his and Rose's breakup and fluff ensues.

In the year between the Cottage and the Centaurs, Ilya misses Shane more than ever. Svetlana’s teenage cousin offers a coping method: Kpop-style Shane Hollander photocards to stare at all day long. It's a shame carrying around pictures of fellow hockey players is just not socially acceptable.

Cannon compliant through "The Trip" but this is what I wanted to happen in the locker room after because everyone has their breaking point. If Shane was a lot less anxious and remembered he was Shane Motherfucking Hollander (TM) maybe this was what he would have said to the assholes he was unfortunate enough to share a team with.
