Summary
The dust had been settled for a long time now, Michael knew.
After all was said and done, he'd entrusted the punishment of his father to the Old Man, the same being that had given him his final task. Every soul that had been caught up in the tragedies surrounding Fazbear's was free, yes, but they were all stuck. Unknowingly, by untethering some of the spirits from their bodies, he'd created a sort of limbo for his father's victims and their victims in turn. Here, they slept, waiting for him to return and help them move on. Incident by incident, he moved backward in time, allowing each group to slowly release the remnants of their suffering and return to their families. At first, there were dozens of guards roaming the halls, each tied to their missing children, and they all came to this place to shed the agony of their existence and ascend to the afterlife.
Now, he and Jeremy were all that was left, waiting with bated breath for Michael's two groups. When all eight of his children arrive an hour before the night shift, it's a race against the clock to ensure their safety from the beasts that roam the halls. This was it: the last first night.

Summary
In the dark, he felt around and recoiled at the feeling of something slimy and rotten. After a moment, he realized what it was that he’d grabbed: a hand. God, there was someone else down here. No wonder the air was thick with the scent of death. How long had they been stuck? Did anyone ever come for them? Were there others down here? Was Michael going to end up like that, too?
The rain was coming quicker now, and the water rose past his chest and up his neck. It’s been so long since he’d been well and truly scared, but the muddy water creeping up his form was a grim reminder of his fate. He doesn’t bother trying to fight it, he can’t, and so he simply closes his eyes and tries to take one last breath.
When Michael comes to, he’s fully underwater. It’s so, so cold, and his lungs are burning. He waited for the instinctive gasp of air that the human body would eventually make, but it never came. Everything was so still, and he realized that he couldn’t feel his heartbeat.
Was he…dead?
