    Hangman could admit to himself that, although he understood the gesture for what it was, he really didn’t want to attend Bradshaw’s stupid fucking wedding. And he was actually lying about that whole “understanding the gesture” thing. He didn’t understand.

    It felt more like a “Fuck you!” from Rooster to invite him to the wedding like he didn’t know damn well that Hangman would just be imagining himself beside him. And of course, he didn’t have a plus one because all their other friends were taking their own dates.
