Summary
About a year after the discovery of Odin's Tear, Fit, an archaeologist renowned for his research on ancient Nordic civilizations, and Pac, an adventurer who guides people through all the landscapes of the globe, meet up with three of their friends in France to solve the mystery of a curse haunting a Viking archaeological dig site. The boyfriends have to face new obstacles, including the wrath of a Viking who has become the first ruler of Normandy.

“You're right. We hadn’t met before this, but it was a lovely service.”
“I see,” the widow hummed. Pac’s interest piqued as a gloved hand was extended outward. There was a single, gold band around the widow’s finger. It was woefully plain in comparison to the elegant jewels adorning his neck. “Then, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, stranger. I am Fit.”
“Fit,” Pac repeated, savoring the taste of it on his tongue. He took the offered hand, and gently lifted it. A soft gasp escaped the widow as a kiss was pressed to his knuckles. The metal of the ring burned Pac’s cheek where they brushed together. “I am Detective Pac. My sincere condolences.”

Summary
Fit isn't clingy.
That's what he tells himself.
His tendencies to hover close to people when he hangs out with them is just a habit that's stuck way back from his faction days. If you don't constantly have someone protecting your back, it gets tiring having to be hyper aware of every scrape of debris against cobblestone, deciding if they were footsteps or the wind. He's doing them a favor. When he follows people around, he's just looking after them. He just automatically assumes they might need the extra strength in numbers wherever they go, even in the safety of their own home. Though, is anyone really safe in their own home? And the debilitating anxiety that wracks through his body, shaking his core, when the people he loves leaves for just a bit too long? That's totally normal. Time is of the essence. Who takes longer that a minute to fetch something from a chest? Or to go to the bathroom?
Fit isn't clingy.
