“It’s—” Rumi physically freezes. It looks like it takes her a moment to compute what Mira had said, then she finishes stiffly, “It’s what?”
Mira’s never been one to lie; and, lo and behold, hashtag polytrix was indeed pressed up as number one on the social media app they’re staring at. Zoey glances down at the related hashtags trending with it: #ITSREAL #POLYTRIXONTOP #RUMIONBOTTOM #HUNTR/XGIRLS #TOTHEGAYWORLD
Or, Mira, Rumi, and Zoey get caught in the middle of their fans' shipping war—but maybe one ship in particular has more substance than the others.

“Ah, yeah. About that.” Bobby’s expression softened, a sympathetic wince crossing his face. “I just came from the Pine View Inn—some tourists were hollerin’ about a double booking and making a scene. Poor owner’s been run ragged. Between the parade and the tree lighting, we’re full up till Christmas Day.”
Rumi blinked, momentarily speechless. The idea of being stranded—in a place where people actually said hollerin’—sent a flicker of panic through her.
Before she could formulate a response, Mira spoke up beside her, her tone even but certain.
“She can stay at my place.”
