“Will,” El says gently, moving back into his space. “Your nose.”
He’s suddenly aware of the warm sticky feeling on his upper lip, and when he wipes a hand under his nose his fingers come away wet and red.
He’s about to reply when a chime rings in his ears, so loud it echoes inside his head, and he startles. “What the hell?”
Max’s gaze snaps to him. “What’s wrong?”
He frowns at her. “Did you hear that?”
Her eyes widen, her entire body going tense. “Hear what? Was it a clock?”
Oh, shit. “Is this one of the—”
He never finishes the sentence, because in the next moment, searing pain blooms in his head, far worse than any of the migraines he’s been getting since he crossed the Indiana border. It’s so intense that he staggers, vision whiting out, and he’s pretty sure he’s curled up on the ground—he can’t be sure; the world has blended sound and image and light and his mind is scrambling to make sense of it.
Don’t be afraid, someone says, but Will shies away from the voice, pressing the heels of his palms into his eye sockets. Welcome home.

Will needs a date to his mom's wedding. Mike volunteers.
“I have an idea,” says Mike.
Ice cubes form in Will’s stomach. “How dangerous is it? Like, should I call Dustin to talk you down, or should I call Nancy to be ready to drive us to the hospital?”
“No,” says Mike, “you can’t tell anyone or it won’t work.”
“Or what won’t work?” Will asks. It’s like picking up a rock you know a spider will be under.
Mike gets up and closes Will’s door. Hopper doesn’t make them keep it open but sometimes Will does anyway, because every now and then lying around alone with Mike on his bed just makes his chest ache too much. If the door is open he can tell himself You can’t do anything right now, someone will see.
Mike leans back against the door. His eyes are lit up with that special maniacal gleam that the Wheelers get right before they do something insane, like when Nancy says, “Then we have to go kill Vecna ourselves,” or whatever. “Take me to the wedding,” says Mike.
“Yeah,” says Will slowly, “you’ll be at the wedding. Obviously.”

They've fixed Hawkins' Upside Down problem (though this predates the final season), and it's the kids' senior year, and Will is worried his mom is worried about him, so Mike hatches a plan to be Will's (fake) date to Joyce and Hopper's wedding because of course he does. That means we've got Will pretending to pretend he's into Mike and Mike playing gay chicken against himself and...losing? winning? both?? Neither of them is doing a great job (or any job) communicating, but their fake relationship thrives and does what all the best fake relationships do, becomes real. A sweet friends-to-lovers romance with just the right amount of agonizing feelings.

That seemed to be the right thing to say because Will blushed hot and ducked his head slightly, giving him the same frantic, flustered look he’d become used to before Will went to college and got a boyfriend and became so unbearably pretty it kind of choked the life out of Mike to be alone with him.
Will won't shut up about his new boyfriend. Mike is totally Normal about it.

A bunch of random words and feelings flash through Mike’s brain but they won’t settle down to form a sentence. He just can’t fathom the idea of Will…with a boyfriend. Will’s boyfriend. A boyfriend who is Will’s. It won’t make sense no matter how he squints at it. “Dudes kissing or whatever is cool,” Mike says eventually. “It’s just… Will…”
Will picks up a pillow and throws it at Mike’s face. Mike catches it. “That’s not fair,” Will says. “Dustin has Suzie, and Lucas has Max.”
“But you’re Will,” says Mike. Doesn't everyone else feel this way, too? Dustin and Lucas are looking at him with twin expressions of horrified fascination, like Mike is some kind of slow-motion train wreck. “I mean– I mean, you’ve always been–”
My Will, Mike’s brain finishes. Shit, he’s not saying that out loud.
“The baby?” asks Will, glaring at him. “Shut up, Mike.”
“No,” Mike says again, miserable, but he can’t say I don’t want there to be some other guy you like more than me out loud where god and Dustin can hear him and never let him forget it as long as he lives.

A css skin and tutorial that allows you to make Starfleet themed dividers for use within a chapter. It can be used to modify the h3 heading (for dividers with titles or description) or the hr element (for dividers without).
This skin and the resulting dividers have been tested on, and work with, the standard site skin, low vision site skin, reversi, snow blue, and the highly modified version of simply twilling I use as my standard. So it should work for almost every one of your readers.

Set after a season four where, yes, a lot of people died. But the kids are seventeen now, and Mike and Will are both virgins, which Mike is very concerned about: Cue the 80s teen sex comedy. Unlike much of that genre, though, this isn't gross or embarrassing, and everybody's having a good time. I adored Will here, kind of baffled by what Mike's gotten them into, yet excited about it too, and it's wonderful to see him stand up for himself, confident enough to be honest about who he is and what he wants. Plus it includes the entire crew, even Argyle.

It starts like this: Steve, waiting in his car to pick up Dustin and friends from a session of their Chutes and Ladders club or whatever. Waiting kind of impatiently, to be honest, even though it’s not like he has anywhere else to be because Robin’s busy tonight and, as he well knows by this point, saving the world doesn’t get you a girlfriend or glory or even a second age-appropriate friend, it just gets you another evening shift at Family Video and a long personal to-do list.
