Summary
Willem stands his ground, glaring at the older boy. “I am the only one here who hasn’t sought to drag her away from her home and holdings. Do you suppose that our future queen would want to reside in some far corner of this continent, away from her lord father and the people who will form her immediate subjects? She is the Princess of Dragonstone, you craven, she must be on Dragonstone.”
“Oh yes,” the princess whispers to Lord Boremund, “I rather like him.”
Without waiting for the inevitable snide reply, Willem turns on his heel and bows deeply to his future monarch. “Princess, I thank you for your consideration, and hope that whomever you choose as your bridegroom, he brings you much happiness, and the honor your station deserves.”

In another life, young Willem Blackwood was quicker with his words than his sword, and Rhaenyra did everything right in her marriage, but the stage was set long before they ever met. The notes are different, the tempo’s changed, and the players have taken new positions, but no matter the music, the dragons have no choice but to dance.

Summary
Winterfell sits on the cusp of a harsh winter, still dealing with the aftermath of its own power struggle, when the Greens seize the Iron Throne.
Jace, in search of the North's support, doesn't expect to find himself in the middle of winter preparations, entrenched in northern politics that keep him up with worry, all the while plagued by strange dreams he can't remember. But after spending his days with the inscrutable Lord Stark, he finds he doesn't really want to be anywhere else.
Cregan, doing his best to steer the North towards winter all the while fighting off those still supporting his uncle, doesn't expect the visiting prince to extend his stay. With a meddling sister and too many secrets, he struggles to keep his distance. But in the end, he finds he doesn't want to, as the prince's presence might be exactly what he needs to change his life for the better.

Summary
“Real camping.” Duncan mutters, running a hand through his hair as they pull into the gravel road that leads to the cabin, “You know, with a tent and sleeping bags and-“
“I’m not sleeping in the dirt,” Aerion snaps, parking the car behind his dad’s, “Just try to get through the weekend, okay? I swear, we’ll have fun.” He presses a kiss to the side of Duncan’s jaw and unclicks his seatbelt before stepping out. He misses the glare that Maekar sends Duncan’s way through the windshield, like daggers in his skull.
“Yeah.” Duncan sighs, “Fun.”
(Or///; Aerion forces Dunk to come with him for a Targaryen family camping trip, only to realize it's a seven-day family bonding experience, where they're all trapped in one cabin. Oh, and Maekar wants him dead)
