Subspace giggled, the sound light and teasing, but laced with an edge that sent a prickle of unease through the air. The room was dim, suffused with the golden glow of countless candles, their flames flickering and casting long, distorted shadows on the ornate walls. Medkit groaned softly, his head rolling to the side as his senses returned—sluggish and dulled. The ropes binding his wrists and ankles bit into his skin, holding him taut against the polished wood of the dinner table beneath him.
But something was wrong. He couldn’t see.
The thick blackness of a blindfold pressed against his eye socket, leaving him stranded in darkness. His breathing quickened, irritation and unease simmering beneath his typically calm exterior.
“Subspace,” Medkit said, his voice rough and steady despite the circumstances.
Subspace kidnaps Medkit, for a little 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘭.
