“You acted recklessly and without any concern for anyone but yourself. Again," Bruce stated.Hal glanced at his hand, knowing fully well this was an act, a charade they could drop as soon as it was over and they were home. Until then, he just had to play his part. “Don’t patronize me,” he insisted, slapping his hand away harshly. “I’m not a child.”
“Well, you certainly act like one,” he snapped, stepping back to exit his personal space and put some distance between them. “My kids have better survival skills than you do.”
Hal scoffed. “I doubt it, considering you’ve gotten half of them killed and the other half have tried to kill you,” he retorted sharply, the words feeling heavy and bitter on his tongue.

Summary
If the nightmares weren’t bad before, they certainly are now; every time he closes his eyes, even for a mere amount of seconds, it’s almost like he can feel the air gradually thinning as the phantom weight of dirt threatens to suffocate him right there and right then, just like it had before.
But that isn’t even the worst of it.
OR after the events of JL:Doom, Bruce disappears into his cave, unable to fight the dark memories plaguing his mind and the deep guilt that consumes him. Luckily Hal is there to pull him out of this dark place and clarifies some things. (Watching the movie isn’t essential in order to understand this, but spoiler warning in case you haven’t seen it)
