“And what about you?” Wei Wuxian finally focused his attention on Jiang Cheng. “Will you let me hold your rabbit A-Cheng?”
Oh no.
“No.” And then Jiang Cheng clamped his mouth shut as hard as he could, straining to keep the effects of the curse at bay. The words were bubbling in his throat, but he’d have rather died than be forced to say them aloud.
Wei Wuxian, oblivious to his little brother’s inner struggle, pressed on. “I won’t bother you for an entire week! Please A-Cheng?”
“No…” and then to his horror, the curse overpowered him and he blurted out the words he’d been trying to suppress. “Xian-gege.”
Jiang Cheng’s face immediately went aflame.

“You’re pretty light Jiujiu.” Jin Ling commented, looking down at his uncle. Jiang Cheng could see the barest hints of a smirk on his face. “It’s not difficult to carry you.”
“Do you want to die?” Jiang Cheng scowled up at him. He dutifully ignored Wei Wuxian’s laughter in the background.
