Summary
It was definitely strange for Mo Xuanyu to suddenly grow at the age of twenty-nine; usually people would stop by their late teens, just as he did in his old life. Sure, Mo Xuanyu had been malnourished during his earlier years, both before his time with the Jins and after his exile. Wei Wuxian was able to gain most of his lost weight on that account, but he couldn’t erase all evidence of the guy’s past mistreatment.
He didn’t think his improved lifestyle habits would affect Mo Xuanyu’s height, of all things.
Or, little by little, Wei Wuxian gets his old body back.

Wei Wuxian is at such loss he can barely breathe.
To have such a desolate thought at the forefront of his mind feels a bit too much like a disservice; an agonizing useless whisper amidst such a… complete and utter tragedy. What comes next, when the road ahead is empty and the sky hangs low and gray, dull as old ash? When there is no place left in this world that would ever dare to welcome them?

For a long, terrible moment, Lan Zhan does not move. His expression does not change, keeping on that same impassive mask he had worn since they met at fifteen.
"Neither of us has ever been selfish," Lan Zhan says.
Wei Wuxian reaches up and cups Lan Zhan's face in his hands. "Run away with me?" he asks, and his voice breaks on the words, utterly unguarded. "Leave everything behind and run away with me?"

Wei Wuxian gets the surprise of his life. The product of this kicks off a few things: namely, Jiang Yanli finally getting sick of her parents, Jiang Cheng Getting A Grip, and Lan Wangji fistfighting his uncle in a Denny's parking lot.
That last one might have been exaggerated.
