Summary
A Leofric fix-it set between seasons 1-2.
In 878 AD, Earl Guthrum converts to Christianity while Leofric clings weakly to life after the battle of Eathandun. A grieving Uhtred tries to secure the living of an Ealdorman for his best friend, in case he is too injured to ever return to the King's service.
Alfred meets Guthrum's young pagan daughter, and plots to stabilize the Mercia/Wessex border with a marriage treaty. Yrsa Guthrumsdottir will be summoned, baptized, and married off, in short order – to a gruff, older stranger.
A Saxon. An enemy.Too bad she's in love with Earl Ragnar...and was promised to him first.

Summary
