He always lit the candles on his birthday cakes, growing up. He would grab the matchbox from Phil’s hands. He would strike it. He would set every candle ablaze. He would do that, always. He had a matchbox earlier today but it got taken away. He just kept lighting matches, he remembers. Stupid of him. Wasting supplies. Wasting ammo. Fuel. A spark.
“Wil?”
He shuts his eyes and takes a breath. “Curse me.”
