Aymeric's throat tightened as he mulled over the question. Even now his mind still drifted back to Count Charlemend's proposal– how he'd taken it upon himself to budget the project after that day's House of Lords meeting had ground to a halt thanks to an argument breaking out between representatives from the High Houses–
"Please, allow me to do penance," Aymeric said softly, tightening his hold on Estinien as he tilted his head, letting his lips brush against the skin of Estinien's palm as he continued, "punish me."

Summary
