A speck of something wet landed on his nose. Link ignored it and tried to climb a little further before leaping. But then another drop landed on his hand. As he looked, a spot of water sat atop his skin. Mocking him.
Link’s body began to shake.
In a couple seconds those drops turned into a downpour, slicking up the rock and flattening his hair.This can’t be happening. Link’s breath quickened. His eyes blown and body clinging to the wall not daring to move. The minute he shifts he is going to slide. Slide right into the open jaws of Ganon’s monster. But if he leaped.
Link shut his eyes tight. Water dripping onto his eyelids.
He must make it.
He needs to make it.
With one final push, Link kicked himself upward. But the moment he did, he could feel his foot slip.His eyes that were facing the wall are now seeing the sky and the clouds above.
His arms are grasping at nothing.
Then he sees them.Eyes. So many of them. Looking at him.
Link closed his own.
