Summary
They’ve avoided one another for nine years. Managed not to run into one another during the week of Andy’s funerary rites. They’ve glimpsed one another several times. But they never came close enough to speak.
Draco’s kept to their rules for most of a decade. Letters only. Plans for Teddy. Updates on Pansy’s gardens. No references to the Christmas of 2001.
Draco spares a moment to grieve that he couldn’t have put this off another nine years. Then, he turns.
“Hi,” Harry says.
Draco’s throat aches. “Hello. It’s been a while.”
Harry quirks a smile. "I wondered where that top went."

Sirius doesn't go after Peter Pettigrew on the night that Voldemort kills the Potters, but stays to look after Harry... This means that he is never wrongly accused and incarcerated for the murder of Lily and James, and instead he and Remus Lupin raise Harry as their own.
When it finally becomes time for Harry to start his education at Hogwarts, he has no reason to tell the Sorting Hat not to place him in Slytherin, so he is Sorted into Slytherin and becomes best friends (and later on, more than friends) with Draco.

And Harry has no interest in messing with their friendship. He certainly doesn’t need everyone else constantly meddling, pestering them to just get on with it and get together already. He’s having a hard enough time as it is, trying to come to terms with the fact that he probably isn’t ever going to find love. But who needs love, anyway, when you’ve got a best friend?

Summary
I love having covers for fanfic, especially for those I have saved in Calibre. I think I've found all the existing covers that are out there and it's not enough. So I've been making covers for several months now and thought I'd share them.
For those stories that already have a cover, if I made another it's because the existing one just didn't fit my aesthetic or picture I had in my head.
These are obviously also considered a recommendation. If I haven't already, or wouldn't reread the story I won't make a cover.

Now Lego Hottie is adding what looks to be a custom built space ship to the train scene, and is affixing it to the ceiling with wire so it is flying above the train-- oh my God, Lego Hottie is building a scene from Firefly.
