His best friend Stevie inherits a motel in the middle of nowhere Ontario and leaves NYC. With nothing holding him there anymore, David follows. But maybe he did leave something in NYC - or someone.

So, slowly but surely, here it is - the sequel to my first long-form Sherlolly story, Defining Family. It's hard to believe it's been almost two years since I started Defining Family! Expect ridiculous amounts of fluff with Will and I'm so excited that you all finally get to meet Olivia, who was just a toddler when we left them. She's definitely come into her own as a Holmes :)
I wrote this during NaNoWriMo 2015, and I'm editing it as I go, so expect about a chapter a week unless life gets in the way. :)

Sherlock Holmes isn't a goldfish, and those who aren't goldfish don't have problems.
So why is everyone acting like he has?
Perhaps it's because in the aftermath of his relapse and Moriarty's reappearance, certain... cracks are beginning to show. A tracery of vulnerabilities. A map of breaks and scars. The possibility that all is not as placid within as Sherlock would like his loved ones to believe. But that doesn't mean there's anything wrong, far from it. That doesn't mean he has any problems, not at all.
And even if he had... Why would some part of him seem convinced that Molly Hooper can help?
That's the greatest mystery of all...
