Baelor does his best to care for his little brother turned mate, and Maekar wants nothing more than to prove to everyone, especially Baelor, that he can be a good mate and mother to his children. It's too bad the world keeps testing them instead.

Prince Aegon said he could show me the dragons, this is plenty enough,” Rhaenyra turned to Aegon, grinning. “I really should get back to my mama before he starts worrying.” The air went still, the two elder princes freezing, figurative hackles rising. Aegon, however, didn’t seem to pick up on the sudden mood change and nodded.
“I will walk you back then! I wanted to explore the tourney grounds anyways.” Rhaenyra rocked back on her heels, smiling although she had felt the air chill, as if they weren’t standing mere feet away from the equivalent of forty bonfires within flesh.
Duncan ran away from King's Landing seven years ago and despite trying to erase the past, it comes back to bite him in the form of the very thing he was running from. Now the Omega has to figure out how to deal with possessive dragons and the sweet pup he needs to protect.
