Jean’s expression did not soften. “Take it outside,” she said. “Or better yet, don’t take it anywhere at all.”
Yelan clicked her tongue in disappointment and pushed off the wall. “Wow. Tragic,” she said dryly. “Just when things were getting interesting.” She took another sip of her hot chocolate and glanced toward Shenhe. “Come on. Let’s go somewhere less… supervised.”
Shenhe nodded with a bit of hesitation as she followed Yelan to the door.
Kaveh let out a long, shaky exhale, hands pressed to his chest. “Oh thank goodness,” he muttered. “I thought I was about to watch an antique get reduced to splinters.”
Cyno looked up at him, expression completely flat. “You only cared about the furniture?”
The blonde bristled. “I care about people too! Furniture just happens to be irreplaceable!”

"On the contrary." Zhongli found himself drawn into that carefree smile, noting how it made those remarkable eyes crinkle at the corners. "I have an excellent memory, especially for things that interest me."

When Venti finds a stranger in his apartment that he was sure he left locked, he certainly didn't expect this.
“Hello Venti,” the golden-haired stranger says, his lips turning upwards to a soft, sad sort of smile. Venti can’t help but feel that this type of smile doesn't fit his face. Too sad. Too fragile. “I’m Aether, and you died to save me and my sister.”
What.
“What?”
Or: Venti keeps housing strangers who know him somehow in his cramped, one-bedroom apartment. He has multiple questions about the situation he finds himself in but hey, at least he isn't quite so lonely anymore. It's the little wins.
