Summary

Moments before his death, Wen RuoHan triggers a transport talisman and his soul is brought five years back to his past. As he thinks about how he could have accidentally made this magic happened, he forms a theory that his qi had mixed with the qi's of the two young cultivators (barely twenty years old) who attacked him. The talisman was soaked in his blood and when he activated it, the mixed energies were so powerful, his soul was thrown five years back. He becomes obsessed with wanting to own Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian because he believes that they are the key to him reaching immortality.

Lan Qiren immediately started to freak out.
“Wangji!! What is this??!! Have you gone mad??! The ribbon is sacred!! Only family and married spouse can touch it!! Untie it from him immediately!!” Lan Qiren shrieked, his voice sounding embarrassingly high-pitched from the sheer terror of the situation.
Lan Wangji didn’t seem to share his anxieties.
“We are married,” he explained.
“You’re not,” Lan Qiren insisted, on the verge of tears.
