“I am sorry, luchik, I will take care of you now," Castiel murmured as he opened the first aid kit and oh those hands were so gentle on Dean's skin. And that voice again, so soft. Luchik. It sounded almost like an endearment.

Unfortunately for him, the months until Sam's birthday will not be easy. He has caught the eye of a creepy Alpha named Alastair who won't leave him alone at his job at the bar, and the bakery he works at seems to be hiding it's own secrets.
If only the blue-eyes of Castiel Krushnic, one of the brothers who runs the bakery, didn't make his inner omega feel so god damned safe, and made him want to trust him to protect those he cares about the most.

Summary
Sam and Dean give Chuck the final showdown that he wants. But once Sam’s gun goes off and Dean is lying on the pavement with a bullet in his head, Chuck is disappointed. In frustration, he disappears, leaving them alone at last.
Castiel is pulled from the Empty and thrown back onto Earth with Dean, only Chuck’s final, sick joke is that he hasn’t made their reunion easy. Cas is stuck sixteen years in the past with 25-year-old Dean, John, and no way of getting back to where he belongs.
Meanwhile, back in 2020, Dean awakes in the hospital with no memories of who he is or his past.

Something about humanity, about living even when it hurts, especially because it hurts. About building a home for loss inside your chest, and making your heart a place where the dead live when they die. About being selfish, about belonging, about deserving both. About choice, and a life lived, and learning to lay down arms so that your hands might hold something softer.
