He scowls and finishes his ale. “One room is fine.” He’s learned to pick his battles and right now his shoulder is still stinging from the injury he got earlier. One battle today was more than enough.

Geralt is too emotionally stunted to realize that Jaskier trying to pamper him is Jaskier telling him he loves him. Instead, he ends up worrying that Jaskier is going to end up missing all the fancy things like regular baths and beds and end up leaving him. Not that Geralt loves him or anything.

The evening is falling outside, shadows getting longer and rain spattering against the small window. Thank fuck they were this close to the inn, Jaskier muses, or they might just have had to ask to sleep in a barn somewhere.
As soon as the girl is out, Geralt more or less manhandles Jaskier closer to the fireplace instead of using words.
“I’m still mad at you, witcher,” Jaskier reminds him with a glare as Geralt helps him with the smaller buttons of his sleeves.Or; They argue, Geralt shows care through action, and then some more care though action; a love story :)
