Bright lights shine in his eyes, cheers hammering into his heart and ears. The applause was so loud and resounding it may as well have been his heart beat. He finishes his assent to the top of the poles, spreading out his arms as if to ask for more cheers.
He easily gets it, a swell of pride in his chest as he waves to the audience, coating his hands in chalk. This time, he's on the receiving end of the shouts of encouragement.
