Sokka takes a strategic step back, but he also smiles: triumphant, like he baited Zuko into exactly what he wanted. Like it’s a challenge. It’s the same way he looked when they sized each other up at the prison, with Sokka in chains that left red marks around his wrist, in tattered prison garb, malnourished and angry. Back then, that was Sokka saying: I see your power. I see you. Now, see me.
Zuko saw him then. And he sees him now; different, but the same. I see you.
Zuko lights his daos in flame. Sokka grins, back to gravel and heat. “Come on, Fire Lord. Impress me.”
Zuko burns. His vision flickers with fire. His heart races. His blood sings. His body is like a magnet, pulling ever onward to meet Sokka’s. He advances.
He pins Sokka to the wall, blades against his throat.
Or, Zuko found Aang first, Sokka and Katara were imprisoned in Boiling Rock for trying to rescue their dad, and all Sokka knows is he's pretty sure he's not supposed to think the Fire Lord is attractive but he's never let things like rules stop him before.

No, Dazai can’t see or hear him enter the room, but he can practically feel it. A familiar aura of power and confidence hits his clammy skin, something he could detect even if all five of his senses were restricted. No, Dazai doesn’t need to see his fiery red hair or tacky-looking hat; he doesn’t need to smell that distinct odor of cigarette smoke and sandalwood shampoo to tip him off, nor does he need to feel those insistent black gloves tugging at the collar of his shirt to remind him.
Funny how much one can learn about someone after they’ve been dragged back to confinement by that person a couple dozen times.

Dazai Osamu, former Demon Prodigy of the Port Mafia, finds himself sick in Meursault prison. After being detained by Chuuya Nakahara of the Hunting Dogs four years ago, he's since been unable to escape his unfortunate situation- constantly being hindered by Chuuya's meddling. For once, he's causing problems unrelated to escaping, and as usual, it ends up being Chuuya's problem.
But between the two of them, it isn't a simple dynamic between guard and prisoner. Things aren't as they seem.

It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.
