“Killers-- I get, they’re all a time a dozen, selfish, or impulsive, or just plain mean,'' he rambled, “Those other kids though, they went with him and let him show them her body as if it was a joke, only came forward to save their own asses, didn’t care about Mona at all” ,he finished with a shot of Jamison.
Bill tried hard, really fucking hard, not to notice Holden glancing at him. Like he couldn't make the connection to Brian by himself. He didn’t bother sticking around for whatever psychobabble speak Holden had learned from Wendy about children who were involved in murders to come pouring out. Instead, he paid for his drinks and went to start the car to get them to the airport. After all, he had an empty bed to look forward to. -

“Did I say the wrong thing?”
And Aziraphale slowly turns to let Crowley see the tears leaving salty tracks down his cheeks, his devastated brow, the downturn of his mouth, the tight clench of his jaw, and his blazing, furious eyes.
“Yes.”
OR: A rewrite of the bookshop garden scene, in which Aziraphale refuses to let them go gently into that good night. Inspired by Gracie Abrams’ “Hit The Wall”. Title from the same.

Summary
“Did I say the wrong thing?"
Aziraphale took a deep breath. He could feel those golden eyes on him, awaiting his answer and Aziraphale almost couldn’t bear to look. When he finally turned after a moment of garnering all the strength left in his body, he choked on his breath. He stared at Crowley; he was vulnerable and open and more beautiful than the heavens themselves were. Aziraphale had dreamed of seeing him so open for so long, but not like this, never like this. It was a sickening reminder of how he looked when Aziraphale left him for heaven, teary-eyed and hanging on the edge. Aziraphale could see the realisation etched on the demon's face, a resolute decision cemented in his mind. Aziraphale swallowed, his throat very dry as he digested what Crowley was asking of him.
Not this time
"Yes!" He didn't mean for it to come out as a yell, but it did "Yes, you absolutely did."
OR
Aziraphale does not respond kindly to Crowley's suggestion to save the universe.

Summary
See, the thing is: Crowley is tall. His height had caused a few stares back in the days where the tallest man stood at five foot five. And, because of his height, one might be inclined to describe him as slender with spindly fingers and snake-hips. The pun is never intended on that last one but it stands true nonetheless. And Crowley would be likely to agree with these statements: he is tall and slender and spindly and snake-hipped.
But what Crowley would be less likely to agree upon is the statement that he, Anthony J Crowley, is underweight.
OR: Crowley has an eating disorder. Trigger Warnings now and at the beginning of each chapter.

Summary
“Oh, my dear,” said Aziraphale, trying his best to steady his voice. “You’re not to even think of dying, Crowley, do you hear me? I shall be ever so cross if you do.”
In which Crowley gets stabbed, befriends the former antichrist, and manages to have a civil conversation or two with a certain supreme archangel. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
It took Aziraphale six thousand years for Aziraphale to get the courage to take Crowley's hand, to take his first action on their unspoken affection for another. And it's been bliss.
Of course that's about the point Aziraphale realises it's been weeks since that moment and Crowley's not left his side for more than a few moments. And well, he... he likes it. He wants an eternity of Crowley by his side, an eternity of Crowley living with him in their flat above the bookshop.
So he has a plan. Tempt Crowley into moving in - surely it can't be that hard?
