Not a ‘I can’t break our weekly tradition’ need or a ‘man it would be great to see Kacchan’ need. No, it was an ‘I need Kacchan like I need air’ need, a suffocating voice in his head that screamed for the alpha in a way that made Izuku believe he would die if he spent another second away from him.
OR; When Izuku doesn't show up for their weekly meeting at the creek, Katsuki gets worried and goes to look for him. Only to find him curled up in the middle of the forest in a full blown heat.

He heard a growl and a grunt—at least he’s there. The light began to dim, and Kacchan’s gravelly voice answered, “Yeah, Deku, I’m fuckin’ fine. It’ll take a stronger hit than that to knock me out; you should know your mate better than that.”
Izuku froze. The voice was Kacchan’s, the vocabulary was Kacchan’s, but that was definitely not Kacchan.
Mate? Izuku turned bright red at the word, but shook it off, his worries for Kacchan’s safety override his flustered thoughts. Finally, opening his eyes, he saw a man that had Kacchan’s face, but he’s more muscular, taller, tattooed, and pierced, and his clothing...this man was not from this world.
