With a sharp exhale, he got up from his seat and walked over to the bar, Sabrina’s eyes following him with a silent incredulity all the while. He continued his story even as he fixed himself a stronger drink than he would have liked. “A small favor, come to think of it. He asked for a child. He and Diana were trying for years, but no spell or potion could give them what they wanted. I thought it simple enough. I mean, Father sent my brothers to bless humans with children all the time."

His face soured as he emptied the glass in one gulp.

“It wasn’t like that, though.” He had a grim look to him as he sank back down to his seat across from her. “I soon realized that I didn’t have the same gifts as Amenadiel. I couldn’t channel the divine light of life the way he could. But…Edward was relentless, and I was, too. After all, the Devil never left a favor ungranted. So in the end, I did give him a child.”

Sabrina held her breath as the next words were softly uttered from his mouth.

    “I gave him mine.”

In which Sabrina Spellman goes to L.A. to escape Greendale's witches and demons and magic, only to end up with a devilish father, angelic uncle, and very confused detective in the process.

    “Santos, I-” Langdon started.

“Save it. It’s not the first time I’ve been chewed out for something that isn’t my fucking fault.” She snapped, voice raised to try and disguise the tremble of it. See if she cares about blowing up at her workplace, let them discipline her.

    Summary

Trinity wants to tell him everything, wants to break down in front of him and make him understand why she is the way she is. That there was no version of Trinity that experienced what she did and didn't come out of it incapable of meaningful human connection. She knows she won't, knows she’ll never look at someone and ask them for help, because the last time she did nobody listened.

She’s really going to fucking miss him though.

“I promise, Dennis. Don't worry about me.” She says it sincerely, she means it. Trinity doesn’t need worry, Trinity doesn’t need anything.

But that doesn’t stop her from wanting.

Dennis smiles at her before walking away.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or, Losing both Garcia and Whittaker in the same night leaves Trinity feeling like a stranger in her own story. Moving to night shift seemed like the only option she had left. She knows she's running away, she doesn't know that she's running in circles.

“We both knew what we were getting into when we started seeing each other,” Garcia eventually said. She looked over her shoulder, glancing at Santos. “And we both agreed this was just casual, didn’t we?”

She didn’t know if she was reminding herself or reminding Santos about their arrangement.

“I know we did… just wanted to make sure you didn’t mean–”

“I was tired and tipsy and you made me come not even thirty seconds before that. I wasn’t exactly in the sharpest state of mind,” Garcia cut off, not unkindly. “Let’s not make this a big deal.”

Or: The events leading up to their 4th of July shift; Garcia accidentally lets an "I love you" slip and tries (fails) to be casual about it.
