After losing everything in a bloody crusade, Alexander Talos was brought to the Urnu Isles, a lush archipelago which he has called his home for over a decade. In the time he spent there, he trained under multiple teachers in order to become a hero for the people he grew to love. His devotion to this cause drew the eyes of the gods themselves, the Uri. Alex swore allegiance to them, and they blessed him with the power of hieromancy, making him a paladin.
Together with his two awesome girlfriends Ava and Zavi, he encounters many challenges, fighting twisted men and monsters alike, while slowly expanding his polycule.
Through those challenges however, Alex finds himself stumbling upon a mystery involving the long-forgotten secrets of the world. Who is the strange cult? What are they capable of? What are they looking for? Why are these mysterious ruins involved? How is Alex himself involved? Who the hell is Bahamut?
A/N: This is an EXTREME overhaul of my Dragons, Demons, and Heroes story. Feel free to ignore that as it has practically no bearing on this story.

Summary

A break should be good for Ratchet, it's not. With nothing to distract himself with, buried fears resurface and old wounds reopen. A ghost from Ratchet's past still haunts him, despite his best efforts to ignore it.
A worried Rivet contacts him after months of radio silence, an outing is arranged in hopes of getting Ratchet's spirits up.
Will this outing pull Ratchet out of his funk? Will his head finally be cleared of all the white noise? And how will suppressed feelings for his friend needlessly complicate matters all the more for the two?
Can a Lombax like Ratchet truly live without war?
