Summary
The guard was right to be concerned. The poacher was definitely an omega from his scent, but he didn’t seem to be going into a heat yet which was good news. Instead of sickly sweet, the scent that came from him was a nauseating cocktail of anguish, rage, and if Levi wasn’t mistaken, a tiny sliver of fear.
The omega raised his head to look up at Levi, his tangled hair obscuring his vision somewhat but not stopping him from identifying a new target to snarl at. The feral noises only ripped out of him more as the distance between him and Levi became less.
“Tying him up isn’t going to help if it’s a heat we’re worried about,” the alpha announced. “Open the door.”
Protecting his tribe was always at the forefront of Levi's mind. The last place he expected to find familiarity was with the raging savage that had come to him via arrest, no matter what the tales of his ancestors might say.
