Hums, but that’s hidden beneath the sound of Satoru’s voice again. “We’re friends and friends, like — like, help friends out, so. It’s not like, super fucking crazy, right? Asking.”
Right. Suguru nods once, firm.
Then says out loud, “Right.”
And there’s a pause between them, only ‘cause Satoru stops breathing.
