Ranboo sobs, loud and desperate and broken, denying it even as his sobs jerk him forward. Even as they force his legs to collapse under him, as his body crashes down into water, and he doesn’t know how he ended up in it in the first place, just knows he made the decision to walk into it.
Water washes over him, crashing and pulling and pulsing, and it forces him under, dragging him kicking and screaming like it knows he doesn’t have the strength to even attempt to push himself back up. It’s stained red with the dying sun, red with his bleeding heart, red like the blood that spilled from Niki and Ethan and the others— blood that should have belonged to him and him alone; an unholy baptism condemning him to drown.
Ranboo sobs, and blood-stained water washes into his mouth, and he barely has the mind to spit it back out.
