Summary
Twenty-one days ago, Sumino Takumi and ten other young students from the Tokyo Residential Complex woke up in a building known only to them as the Last Defense Academy. Their lives since have been chaotic, but they've been managing to hold it together, regardless. Things take a turn from the bizarre toward the absurd, though, when Aotsuki Eito spots a girl with dark black hair watching him motionlessly from a rooftop and leaves him wondering who on Earth she could be.
Fourteen days ago, Akemi Homura vanished, seemingly into thin air after a long night of fighting the sworn night of Magical Girls: the maelefic Wraiths, born of the curses of mankind. Her companions, Sakura Kyouko, Tomoe Mami, and Miki Sayaka give chase, finding themselves in unfamiliar surroundings. The trio search for where their ally could have gone, but soon the group is fractured even further as Kyouko is separated from the group during a fight. There's only one option left for Mami and Sayaka: To find their friends and to learn just where they even are.
