She had danced with him like she wanted to burn him alive, and Mother help him, he hadn’t wanted to be anywhere else.
The music hadn’t stopped, but the moment had. Still, some part of him was caught in it—off balance, branded, wondering if he’d imagined the whole damn thing.
He should leave. He’d made his move. He'd shown his hand. Maybe more than he should have, outright turning down the gift of a Made weapon in exchange for a chance at Nesta's hand in marriage.
There was nothing more to be gained here.

A retelling of ACOSF, starting at the Winter Solstice Ball, where Eris decides that he can’t—won’t let Nesta slip out of his grasp this easily. Nesta, feeling trapped in a life she never chose, accepts his offer to train her power at the Autumn Court.
This is a story about choice and healing on your own terms.EDIT 11/04: Not abandoned, just on hiatus for personal reasons. There's a lot going on in my life right now, but I'll get back to this once I actually have the time and headspace to write the conclusion the story deserves!
