In late October, Ilya picks up some kind of freakish Canadian flu that dogs him into November.
It is the weirdest shit. He has to duck out of practice because his nose starts bleeding twice in one week and he wakes up in a hotel in Columbus with another one that leaves stains on the pillow. On the flight back to Ottawa, Hazy drops into the seat next to Ilya midflight and asks, "This isn't, like, a cocaine thing, right?"
Ilya laughs so hard it's probably a little rude.

Ilya told Shane.
Ends with Shane having normal freak out but snuggles in bed6) Shane Hollander the man you are. Ilya gets sick at parents. Shane blurts out that Ilya’s pregnant. Yuna starts planning. Shane says they are def keeping it (Ilya body. Ilya’s choice). Ilya stays over even after Shane leaves
7) Ilya tells weibe and centaurs. And LTIR announced.
8) NYE and Ilya is alone and depressed. Shane is in Florida for hockey. Sveta shows up as a surprise. Also call from Marleau but Ilya doesn’t tell him…yet
9) Ilya is unofficial asst coach for centaurs. Ilya is lonely. Shane comes to visit overnight but doesn’t have long
10) First doctor appt. Ilya is emotional about it. Sees Malysh for first time. Worried about tests and ppd and birth plan etc. Shane calms him down. (But should be there!) Ilya calls and finally tells Marleau. He is amazing bestie.
