He had been an idiot. A complete and pathetic idiot. Jon would never have replied to that message and he would have looked like a child - why had he written "Can we talk? Who the hell wrote "Can we talk?" - or who knows what else, something he had never intended to show in front of Jon; he had always made a point of being older than him and not needing anyone, so how could he interpret this message that sounded so desperate in Damian's mind? Still, and Damian admitted it to himself at least, he smiled when he saw Jon's reaction not even a minute later, mentally calling him a fool. "Window. Now." Where 'window' stood for 'open the window to your room' and 'now' meant that he had flown to Gotham the moment he had read the message and that he expected it to open for him in the blink of an eye. This... this silly, kind farm boy.
