Earlier in his and Yosano's talk, she brought up the topic of a newly opened burger joint that seems to be on the rise to fame based on the 3 star reviews she read. Now, how can Ranpo ever ignore something like that, that just calls out to his taste buds? Though he did eat dinner already, the detective's stomach was still full. Which meant he would have to go later on into the night. Ranpo's midnight cravings would come in handy this time around!
Or, Ranpo gets a midnight snack and gets to have a talk with a certain redheaded mafioso that catches his (major) interest.

Elise was getting a bit lonely in the office, only having Mori by her side was boring, aside from the fact that her guardian showers her with gifts and such- she still wanted a friend! After multiple times of pestering the lil' ol' Port Mafia boss, Mori eventually gives in and gave her a new companion.

Mori's ability allows him to create one more other than Elise and he uses it so she could have a new friend. One thing, though, that new friend was a small version of the fiery mafia executive; Nakahara Chuuya.
