Summary
Dante Redgrave is a Hunter, infamous for his prowess in slaughtering monsters and getting the job done.
Leon S. Kennedy is a Knight, serving under the crown with an oath to protect the realm no matter the cost.
Their lives intersect when Leon has a job to do, and Dante has a debt to pay. The goal is simple: get to Fortuna Island and acquire the artifact Leon needs to stop Lord Simmons from destroying more than just Redgrave, but the very realm itself.
Leon needs Dante’s trust, and Dante needs the truth- neither is sure they’ll get what they need, but they might get what they desire instead.

“Do you want to get married?”
It’s dangerously close to 2 a.m. and they’re cutting back on Redbull (Elle’s idea, though Emmett’s pretty sure she’ll crack first), so it takes a moment for Emmett to process the words. When he does, he smiles and raises an eyebrow. “Right now?”
Elle scrunches up her nose at him from across their table, which is entirely covered in papers, books, and mugs of increasingly caffeinated tea. “No, not now, doofus. I mean in general. Is that something you want?”
She asks it the same way she asks everything: with complete sincerity and a degree of focus that would terrify a lesser man. He’s been that lesser man, but after three years of knowing Elle Woods, he likes to think he’s learned a bit about bravery.

“But if I did decide to marry someone…” Elle blinks slowly, casting her eyes away to think over her words. She takes a while. Emmett can’t bring himself to mind. It’s nice just to hold her hand and run his thumb over her knuckles, to feel her softness and watch her mind work. When her gaze comes back to meet him, he greets it as a dear friend. “I’d like to marry someone who believes in me as much as I believe in them.”
“That’s a tall order.” Emmett murmurs. No one believes in people like Elle Woods. But maybe they should. Maybe he should.
Elle’s eyes sparkle with a confidence that looks even better than the lace she wore for his birthday. “I’m worth it.”
“You are,” Emmett agrees, helpless and hopeful in a way only she can invoke. “You really are.”
