Starfleet Academy was supposed to be a place all were welcomed and offered the chance to try and make a difference, regardless of race or history. In practice, this was not exactly the truth. Elnor was surrounded by people unlike himself, which he of course had expected. He was used to feeling out of place—being a boy raised in an exclusively female monastery taught him young that fitting in was a luxury that he would likely never find—but this was a new feeling of isolation entirely.
