Summary
Johnny Silverhand has lived with the deep and earnest certainty for years that lazrpop is not music. At least not any music worth subjecting his ears to. When Kerry decides that the rising lazrpop group, Vendetta, is one to keep an eye on, he holds fast in that certainty. But when the frontwoman, a mysterious redhead known simply as V, shows up at a Samurai concert, he finds himself developing an inexplicable interest in the group, albeit for entirely non-music related reasons.
AU where Samurai never broke up and Johnny never set off the nuke at Arasaka Tower. V, Jackie, Panam, and Judy are in a band called Vendetta that has recently rose to stardom. Johnny and V meet and become a spectacular dumpster fire of a relationship. Sorta set in 2023, but with the tech and all the characters from 2077.
