Hizashi loved the shit out of his boyfriend because he didn’t even hesitate to end their dinner date so Present Mic could go do some heroes’ jobs for them. Hizashi was going to make sure they showed their appreciation in some… creative ways later that night.
They weren’t the only one spurred to action. Hizashi was close enough to see when a similarly aged boy to the victim with green hair burst past the heroes and attacked the villain. The voice pro spurred himself on faster when none of the pros followed him, using the anger to fuel an extra burst of energy.
He was fighting the surrounding crowd when something familiar caught his attention- the subtle change in the atmosphere, a slight gravity that hadn’t been there a second before, something that drew one’s attention to the greenette without one quite realizing it. The signature of something he’d felt with Shouta more times than he could count.
The boy was clawing at the villain’s eyes and it almost wasn’t discernable, especially from a distance, but the sludge was dissolving bit by bit under frantic hands. Most would think it was quirk use, but what the blonde was witnessing was as powerful as it was rare and far more dangerous.

izuku felt something in his chest twist painfully but somehow stopped himself from outwardly reacting. quietly, he creeps back to his room and managed to shut his bedroom door without so much as a click before his knees gave out and he fell to the floor with a silent thud. his head was racing with so many thoughts that he felt his ears ring.
what did shouta mean? did things have to change? why? did the way parents care changed as kids grew up? will he have to give up certain comforts he has grown used to as he gets older?
he didn't know. he has never had parents that cared like shouta did.
