Summary
Izuku listened to the footfalls crunch the earth above them, felt the vibration of several men pass over the fallen tree, some even using the tree as a walkway as they made their way through the forest. The sound of the trees returned, silence filling the space between Izuku’s shaky breaths and short, cut off whines of fear as the blond woodsman pressed him into the soil. Izuku hadn’t noticed, hadn’t cared to notice, that the man before him was now relaxing into the crook of his neck. Hot breath skated against his skin as he trembled with adrenaline, fear slowly seeping from his veins and releasing in his quivering grip on the tunic adorned by the man before him.

Nope, Katsuki Bakugo was a stubborn, headstrong, and drop dead gorgeous asshole Firefighter. And he is equally disappointed in Izuku's line of work.

“I-I-” Izuku pressed up to sit as far away from the creature, not wanting to enter the blizzard arrested outside what was now clearly a magick barrier. “I w-was looking for shelter, t-there’s a storm and I was lost in it and I-I thought I might die if I didn't find shelter until I found this cave and I just - just-”
“You *just* signed your death sentence, worthless human.” The creature coiled over the small boulder, rippling muscles hidden beneath scales that shimmered shades of crimson and amber as he traveled the distance toward Izuku.

Katsuki laughed, coming close again.

What follows between them is a closeness and trust that neither of them expected, and it just might be what they both needed to heal from their past demons.
