Summary
When malware takes over SecUnit and it nearly kills three of ART's crew, ART is left with two bad options: keep the governor module on with ART as the Client, or partition off part of itself and stick it in SecUnit's head.
Whichever option they choose, they had better make it work, because SecUnit is firmly centered in the crosshairs of its former owner, the most paranoid and ruthless company in the entire corporation rim. As things quickly get worse, destroying the company--something SecUnit has long considered impossible--might just be the only way to survive.

Summary
"Look, the whole of London's cracking up," she told him. "I'm finding it hard enough to work as it is without my commute being screwed up by the buses going on strike, and half my books turning into birds. That angel is wrecking everything, but in particular, my life - and you're too busy hating yourself to open your eyes and deal with it. I'm telling you, it has to stop."
"Is that all still happening?" Crowley said vaguely. "But I found him."
"Oh my God, you can tell you don't commute," Anathema said. "The buses went on strike, Mr. Crowley."
"That's perfectly normal for London. You'll learn."
"You're not listening! Not the drivers, the buses. They're organising - meeting in secret, holding little candlelight vigils. Nobody else really knows what's going on - everyone's just assuming it's, like, general TfL incompetence or something - but it's only a matter of time. So what are you going to do about it?"
"Er... have they submitted a list of their demands?" Crowley said helplessly.

"Hierarchical triple systems comprise a close binary and a more distant component." - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Darcy’s been cagey in regards to the whole 'bi' topic, because it’s complicated. Or, okay, people think it’s complicated, but it really isn't and she doesn't want to handle the barrage of inevitable questions.
Especially not from Jane, who asks questions like it’s her job (which it kinda is) and might cotton on to the fact that Darcy thinks she’s hot. Like, 'Jodie Foster in Contact' hot, except without the interstellar daddy issues.
(Later, Darcy will remember this thought and laugh and laugh. And maybe also want to cry.)

Jane tries to explain what they’re doing out in the middle of the desert, but Darcy has a hard time keeping up. Between the advanced technobabble and the way Jane's hair keeps falling over her shoulder as she draws particle diagrams on random pages of her notebook, Darcy is completely lost.
After half an hour of this, Jane tears out the last page of her notebook with a sigh. “Okay, let's try a different approach.” She starts sketching a standard distribution curve.
Darcy perks up. “Oh! This I know!”

Summary
An eighty-year-old widower by the name of Eugene Skinner ventures out one September day in upstate New York for his usual morning activity - fly fishing. His leisurely hobby is interrupted by a bickering pair nearby in the river. That chance encounter with Greg House and James Wilson changes the course of his life.
Told from the perspective of the last friend the boys make on their final road trip.

He makes arrangements at the funeral home and forgoes a service. No one would come except him, he thinks. He buys a plot in the municipal cemetery on the edge of town and instructs the good people at Esopus Bend Funeral Home to send his friend there. He picks out a simple casket and gravestone. He fills out the paperwork and realizes for the first time that he never learned his friend’s full name. He puts the only information he knows on the stone—‘Wilson’. He has them include the date of death and makes sure there’s room for more, in case Greg ever wants to add anything else.

Bookmarker's Notes
It would be almost trivially easy to have him. Get him into a cab, take him home, spread him out on the couch and grope him a couple times through those jeans, and House is pretty sure Wilson would roll over for him. If there's anything Wilson can't resist even under normal circumstances, it's someone who wants him.
The trick would be keeping him. House isn't willing to bet it all on the off chance that he can succeed where so many others have failed. Time is on his side. Eventually Wilson's got to run out of steam. Sex drive falls off around fifty, he'll lose his hair or it'll go grey, he'll get wrinkles, whatever. Whoever gets him when it happens, that's who's going to be keeping him for the rest of his life.

"Spousal testimonial privilege does prevent the partners in a marital or civil union from being compelled to testify against one another. But at least in this jurisdiction, that privilege is intended to protect communications, not acts. Additionally, marital privilege is only meant to apply to testimony about communications that took place during the time of the marriage or union.
"Since the union of Doctors House and Wilson took place after the alleged forgeries occurred, I have no choice but to suspend Dr. Wilson's spousal testimonial privilege. Dr. Wilson, you will take the stand on Monday. I'm calling recess until then."

House waited for the scan, impatiently grabbing it out of the technician's hand. The tumors stood out as stark white anomalies. They hadn't grown, but they hadn't shrunk either. His heart fell sharply and it was only then that he realized how much he'd been pinning on this. Wilson took the scan from his hand, reminding them that they were his in the first place, and put them up against the light. He looked at the scan intently for a moment.
"It's no bigger," House said. "Another course might still be useful."
"No," Wilson said quietly. "It's not." House turned to him slightly, strangely unnerved by Wilson's tone. Wilson didn't look at him but raised a hand to tap on the scan. House followed Wilson's fingers, not to the liver but to the lungs. "It's metastasized."

During his third week at Seabrook, they bring in an old man, a professor, to talk to House. "And now I should be all inspired, because it's not just suburban moms and skater boys who kick the habit?" House says, sitting on his bed and staring across at the old man.
"Well, it would certainly waste less of my time if you would be inspired just by the sight of me," he says. "But I have a feeling you're going to be far more tiresome than that."

He wondered what Wilson's plan was: when he was going to confess, whether he was waiting for House to ask. To do the honors of cutting him loose.
Fat chance. Wilson wasn't getting any walking papers this time.
He wanted to be angry, to let the rush of fury distract him, but the rage center of his brain seemed to be on the fritz. Besides, it wasn't like Wilson had broken any vows this time. They'd never made those kinds of promises to each other; House wasn't stupid enough to trust either of them. He'd known the score going in.
He knew the price now.

Usually he lets it sit, but House is in a good mood. "Come on, it could be fun. Think of the mocking potential."
House snorts. "I'd argue the bowling thing could have an equal potential, and I can watch it from my own couch with my own beer."
Wilson turns, just slightly, so he's facing House even while House is looking directly forward. "But why not do both? It's what TiVo was made for."
House looks at him. "You're serious. You want me to go."
"Yeah," Wilson admits. "I do."
He can feel House tensing up next to him, and he fights off a sigh. They never talk about this thing between them; they don't argue, either, at least not about this. It's been a year and Wilson has learned not to ask for what he's not absolutely sure he can get.

"Yeah," Wilson said. He explained about the conference.
House raised an eyebrow. "That's all he said?"

Miriam thought the job working for InGen sounded perfect. Tropical island, good pay, first dibs on publications… At least, she thought so until she found out that she was the only behaviorist on staff. Once the eggs hatched, it became all she could do to keep up–with the dinosaurs, the science, and her health.

She kneels down next to the cluster of eggs. A herpetologist has been keeping an eye on them every twelve hours, although she’s not sure they shouldn’t’ve hired an ornithologist instead.
This is the first successful clutch, and the third batch of eggs produced using extracted dinosaur DNA. The first clutch had the gaps in DNA filled with bullfrog sequences, something any geneticist could’ve told John Hammond wasn’t going to work. Frogs were anamniotes, and dinosaurs, whatever else they did, had laid amniotic eggs. That clutch had failed to form a hard egg shell, collapsing in its own yolk, a waste of millions of dollars.
The second clutch was spliced with alligator. This one was viable, and made it to hatching, but on breaking through the eggshells, the animals turned out to be deformed and unable to breathe.
This time they’d done an x-ray on the eggs every third day. This time, they’d used bird DNA. This time, everything had gone perfectly—although she’s pretty sure that’s about to change.
