Though the stranger’s face is completely obscured and expressionless – apart from those strange white lenses – Sousuke can somehow pinpoint the moment when his words register and the stranger’s face falls. “A what?”
Now that he’s gotten over his initial inability to speak, Sousuke is on a roll. “Only a pervert would run around in tight clothes so that he could grab poor innocent cuties like me! You probably get a kick out of being some kind of saviour to damsels in distress so you can have power over them! Weirdo!”
There is a stunned silence before the stranger points at him accusingly. “You were gonna die! What, did you want me to just watch that happen?”
Mitsuba Sousuke does not get hit by a car. Instead, he meets an annoying superhero and gains a friend.

His morals ache all around him and his family name weighs him down even more, as if to tell him this isn’t what he’s supposed to be doing — to take a filthy supernatural’s life (what he should be doing) just to give its remains to another, filthier supernatural. They tug at his skin through pinches and they scream bloody murder into his ears, but their cries come in one ear and out the other.
It’s simple, really. He brings the supernatural some food because he needs to eat. He just happens to eat supernatural hearts and maybe the remains too, so he exorcises supernaturals and brings the remains to him so he doesn’t starve. It's not like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Mitsuba needs him, Kou satisfies his needs. How complicated can it really get?

"If God is watching us, then Senku Ishigami and Gen Asagiri will go to hell together."
Senku thought more about the ‘hell’ bit of it all. For some reason, the sentimentality of the statement crossed his mind. He doesn’t even believe in God, nevertheless the concept of the afterlife or souls for that matter. But, at that moment he felt like Gen was his partner in crime. There was something sort of warm about condemning two souls together for eternity.
Fuck.
There was that beat again.
Or the lack thereof.

Langa had a problem. He had not been getting much sleep recently. And when he did, it wasn’t very restful. Langa took his sleep very seriously. He had to—his shifts began at 4 am.
So the fact that his upstairs neighbor didn’t seem to understand the concept of an inside voice or quiet hours has proven to be a problem, after being woken up by said neighbor’s yapping, yelling, and, the most frequent one, moaning .

Or, Reki lives above Langa and doesn't realize how loud he is and how well Langa can hear his noises (especially the more embarrassing noises), leading to an awkward first meeting (more like confrontation) and even more awkward subsequent encounters. However, Langa can't stay mad, especially when it ends up being a cute redhead that lives above him. That and he keeps baking him apology sweets.Bookmarked by Scoli

Summary
The sun is rising when Leorio spots him, sitting in the garden.
Kurapika seems to have dragged a chair out there, for some reason. Perhaps he finds the spot relaxing but doesn't want to sit in the dirt.
He's wearing a worn out old sun-hat and loose cotton pants, and Leorio is pretty sure the shirt he's wearing actually belongs to him, but it's hard to tell from this distance.
There's a pair of gardening gloves abandoned on the earth next to his feet, and Leorio remembers gifting him that very pair, several years ago, when Kurapika told him he was tired of taking life and wanted to help create it.
How many years had it been, since then? Since Kurapika had shown up on his doorstep, looking like he'd been to hell and back, and told him that he was done? Done killing the spiders, done retrieving the eyes, and done with life in general? Leorio couldn't remember. He didn't really want to.
Kurapika never had the heart to tell him how long it was likely he had left to live, and Leorio never had the heart to ask.

Leorio hadn't expected to be picked to play Romeo in the school play, nor did he expect his costar to be the blond spitfire Kurapika, but that's where life had brought him.
It had started off as just teasing, trying to get a rise out of his costar, but things had a way of changing, often times for the better.
