Summary
(Formerly titled "Sea-Salted Secrets")
An idea that formed from the fact that Merlin was lied to about his heritage. (A heritage that I have tweaked for the sake of this story - a self-indulgent merfolk AU)
.... .... .... ....
Suddenly the doors opened and a haggard-looking Gaius was dragged in next to Merlin and brought to his knees. He was in front of Merlin, though the warlock could still see his face from where he stood.
Gaius started chanting, his eyes glowing, Merlin felt sharp pain from where Gaius’ fingers met his skin; he cried out.
Uther had to put an arm out to keep Arthur in place as light erupted from where they’d been staring. Eyes were averted as the bright beam engulfed Merlin’s frame. When the light faded, Merlin hit the ground with a thud. -

Summary
“How is it possible for someone to find such redemption after using magic?” Arthur didn’t see his servant's flinch. King Royth smiled.
“They may not but, for the rest of their lives, they will walk in the light of His grace and mercy. Through confession and repentance they may yet be saved. Our Lord is a merciful one.”Torture fic, please read the tags.

Summary
Merlyn is young when she leaves the small village comforts of Ealdor to face the unknown in the magic-hating capital city of Camelot. It's not her fault that she has magic, and the laws will only do so much from stopping her using it, if the need arises. She wasn't just some common sorceress, after all.
She's the greatest witch who ever lived.- Words:

Summary
Two secrets. Four years. One heat that changes everything — and a discovery, months later, that changes everything again.
Merlin really should have asked Gaius more questions about that contraceptive tea.

Summary
A banquet, a drink, and one (un)fortunate mistake. Merlin awakens in Arthur's bed with little memory of the previous night, but with all of the physical reminders.
While pretending it never happened works for Arthur, it's less easy for Merlin as he comes to realize that he is carrying more than just regrets.

Summary
Albus Dumbledore had met some strange and fascinating individuals in his long life, but he had never expected to discover that some of them would turn out to be the very same person. This entity appeared in his life over and over again: to help him out of scrapes, to give him strange but useful advice, to bring him on a new adventure. And sometimes, it seemed that he turned up purely for the purpose of making a nuisance of himself. Years passed before Albus finally learned his true name—a name that, like most magical children, he had heard many times before.
What happened afterwards, though, was not anything that Albus would ever have imagined.

Summary
Everyone insisted that Arthur needed time to process, to accept that Merlin was gone. The only problem was that Merlin wasn’t.
Arthur didn’t know how to explain it without sounding like Uther when he’d seen Ygraine in the well, like he was losing his mind and looking for ghosts. He didn’t know how to look at his court and make them understand that Merlin had once told him about nature, about the sacred connectedness of the earth, and asked Arthur if he felt it. He didn’t know how to say that he hadn’t felt it back then, but that he did now. He felt it all. He felt Merlin in it.
--
Merlin saves Arthur's life at Camlann at the cost of his own. Merlin can't die, so it's not that simple.
