Summary
Truth is, Rin’s reunion with Bachira was a moment he’d been putting off somewhat indefinitely. He figured it’d happen naturally, and in a moment where he had his guard up. They’d probably meet again in the comfort of a Blue Lock football field during whatever training exercises Ego’s been plotting for them. For both of them, such things were usually easier on the pitch.
Yet here Rin stood, with evidence of the reality he’d been avoiding delivered *literally* at his doorstep.
---
About four years post-canon, Rin and Bachira can no longer avoid the task of defining what they mean to each other.
Inspired by the Wallows album "Nothing Happens"!

Summary
Will could not help the question that burst from his lips, it had been ricocheting around his brain like a stray tennis ball and was simultaneously causing him the most excitement, distress and exhilaration he had felt in his entire life.
“Are you my husband?” he blurted. Mike blinked in surprise.
“What?”
Will lost his nerve slightly. He wondered if he had been horribly wrong about this, and maybe in this strange timeline he was just a friend staying over and maybe he’d made a mistake and the daughter wasn’t really his daughter and—
Will faltered. “Um, I — well, I just thought you were — I mean, you are my husband, right?”
Mike looked very alarmed. He was staring at Will as though he had grown a second head.
“Obviously…?” he said, “Are you feeling alright? Did your mom make you try her D-I-Y coffee again?”
When nineteen-year-old Will Byers wakes up to find himself in his forty-three-year-old body, he must—with no experience whatsoever—play the part of world-renowned freelance painter, father of two very troublesome teenagers, and most strangely of all: Mike Wheeler’s husband.

Summary
He doesn’t recall closing his eyes but they’re squeezed so tightly he’s seeing all sorts of colors and patterns, like oil on pavement after the rain, dizzying and dirty. And that’s how he feels when Mike is whispering all this crazy shit into his ear and it’s crazy because it doesn’t make Will feel like shit. It only stokes the electricity under his skin, in his blood, rushing it like a fucking storm, crashing into his gut mercilessly. They shouldn't be doing this. It's not right. This isn’t what friends do— This is wrong, this is mean, it’s so fucking selfish, this—
“Feels so fucking good, Mike."

Summary
Will knows he should talk about it.
He knows it’s not quite fair to everyone else. To just… shove it all down, so deep and compressed that it becomes hard and solid and flammable under the right conditions. But… well, what the hell is he supposed to do? Is he supposed to just… explain what happened?
Will isn’t even sure what happened. If it was…
...well.
(After a history of sexual assault, Vecna starts to use this against Will by tormenting him in his dreams. Will, even more traumatized, frightened, and jumpy, struggles to rest or breathe - until one night, Mike reveals that he hasn't been asleep during Will's nightmares and hugs him.)

Summary
“I wouldn’t be who I am without you… and… whatever happens next— I just need you to know that no matter what—” he said with a choked voice. “You’ll always be important to me.”
Whatever happens next... no matter what...
Will felt his soul slowly leaving his body.
Time seemed suspended, as if they were trapped in a parallel reality.
Then Will started to cry. A terrible cry, sobbing and heaving. The tears streamed down like a waterfall and he didn’t even try to stop them, he just lay there, in the arms of the man he loved and who, apparently, was preparing him for the inevitable end.
will thinks mike is preparing to leave him. mike is preparing to ask him to marry him. these turn out to be very different things, as you can imagine

Summary
“I dunno.” Will simpers, “This looks real friendly to me. Friends are available.”
Mike frowns at him, “Friends are absolutely not available, what are you on? What kind of friend holds your ass like this?” Mike emphasizes his point by sweeping his hands over the curve of it, fingers digging into that part right below the fat, where his thigh meets ass and tugging. The movement pushes Will forward, has him clawing his hands into Mike’s biceps.
“Oh, wow.” Will says breathy. “Good friends, I guess.”
