Summary
After the sports festival, Shinsou Hitoshi begins to train privately with Eraserhead in preparation to join the hero course. This is going just fine until Aizawa decides that apparently Hitoshi needs a peer to train with and brings in Hitoshi's mortal enemy, the asshole who knocked him out of the sports festival, Golden Boy Midoriya Izuku.
But Midoriya turns out to be a little harder to hate than Hitoshi expects...

Maybe that was why, when he woke up in a windowless room he didn’t recognize, on a couch he didn’t recognize, in clothes he didn’t recognize, Deku didn’t panic. His first thought had been “someone must have saved me” and he felt the warmth of the blanket that covered him seep into his chest.
His second thought was “would getting kidnapped really be that bad compared to how I was living before?”

Summary
When Inko dies in a trainwreck while protecting Izuku from the impact, Izuku discovers he had a quirk all along. The ability to inherit the quirks of people that die is, to say the least, problematic. It sends Izuku on a much different track that he ever imagined his life taking, but will hopefully end up exactly where he needs to be.

Absolutely seething from this development, he tries to return to the LOV, but is found by a much larger bird on his way. Now taken hostage by Hawks, he’s left to stew on his vengeance and eat pistachios as he tries to figure out how to get out of this little predicament – but times running out as the quirk slowly has him turning into a bird mentally as well.
