“Everything comes back to guilt with him,” he tells Karen on a night out while Matt is running on rooftops wearing the superhero equivalent of a gimp suit. “He’s probably guilty about how he ties his shoelaces. Or the type of syrup he puts on his pancakes.”
“I mean, maple, right?”
“Matt likes blueberry.”
Karen clicks her tongue. “Shameful.”
“It's not that bad.”
“He should feel guilty for that.”
“Point is,” Foggy says so he doesn't fall into the trap of defending Matt’s syrup choices. “I think I have to learn how to beat people up.”

The more time passes, and the colder it gets, the less Jack finds it funny. But hope is at hand. And anger, sometimes, can be a very warm emotion.
