Lloyd is 25 when his eyes close for the last time, when his heart beats one last time, when he takes one last shuddering breath before he goes still. There’s nothing after that, just peace, for a moment. But destiny has never been kind to him, and so he is not allowed to rest.
Lloyd Garmadon is 8 when he opens his eyes again, confused on where he is, why he is alive and why he is in the body of a child again.

The world stood still as Lloyd tried to comprehend what was happening and, if only for a brief moment, he wondered if this was just another cruel nightmare born from the deepest, darkest parts of his own brain. The last thing he remembers was fighting alongside Arin and Sora against an Oni, he remembers the feeling of her blade and the darkness it carried. Remebers all too well the blinding light that followed when he smashed the pendant...
So why is he suddenly ten again and inside his father's loving embrace?

The world has never been a kind place, that much has been made clear to her since birth. Every insult, every curse and every look of disdain have clung to her like a second skin. She thinks she's worn it well, almost like a trophy on display for everyone to admire. None of it has ever mattered, she's never let those chains stop her from doing what she wants, never let that so called destiny interfere with her goals.
Still, this time it feels like it might be a little bit too much, a sick joke meant to ridicule all her efforts. Damned ninja and their stupid proclivity to act before thinking.

Well, if that wasn’t the vaguest possible thing someone who just dropped a baby on your porch could say, Mystaké didn’t know what else could possibly be said.
Mystaké, conducting her secondary appraisal on the baby- Lloyd- and her memory connecting the name Misako to the funeral she must be referring to in the letter, instantly came to the conclusion that this child (pup?) was absolutely her dear departed friend’s descendant.….
