Jacob’s back is flush with the rippling metal of the shed. All kinds of shit is being kicked off the worktable in his urgency.
“That’s possums,” Bella says, scraping her brain for memories of a grade school Zoobook, “And also it has like, rigor mortis.”
“I don’t think white people are allowed to say that,” Jacob says.
Bella throws a nut from Charlie’s toolbox at him.

“Whoa,” Bella says because pump the brakes. She may have been eight at her father’s, but she knows what an Intervention looks like, “Hang on, I have other friends.”
Jasper’s mouth does a disbelieving twitch before he can stop her from seeing it.
“Of course you do, Bella.” Alice says, “And they’re going to love to see you.”
“Yeah-,” Edward starts before Rosalie pops one of Emmett’s hard-boiled eggs into his mouth.
“You don’t get a say,” Rosalie informs him.

Summary

They’re sort of dramatic prequel background flavor text that seems to keep happening out of me as I try to write this main fic about regular teenage Bella. Summary
In which Amara doesn't bring back Mary, she brings back John Winchester.
Dean is uncertain what Amara's meaning is when she brings John back, and struggles with coming to terms with the new family dynamic. Sam tries harder to keep the peace than he used to, and Cas does not get along with John at all- though he tries. Testosterone is at an all-time high as these four men struggle to coexist in the hunting world with very different ideologies.
We explore just how much the brothers have changed in the ten years without their father's guidance, the trauma they still haven't resolved, and the feelings that Dean and Cas hold for one another despite the very real and new barrier that is John.
