“There’s no chance I can get you to stay another week, is there?” Lance asks, though he’s not serious. Keith breathes out a laugh.
“I’ll see you next time, Lance.” He hoists his bag over his shoulder, taking a step back towards the ship. Lance pouts at him.
“Yeah, yeah. Let me know when you land so I know you didn’t get sucked into a black hole.” He pauses, pressing his lips together tight, and his cheeks go the slightest bit redder. “And, um…let me know what you think?”

Summary
Lance’s posture has gone from somewhat respectable to bad to worse, and his attention span is slowly but surely reaching its breaking point, when the door in the back of the room slides open.
Blue and gray and black. Long, dark hair. A familiar set of eyes. The same faded scar carved along his cheek.
Lance jerks upright, nearly jumping out of his chair.
“I’m filling in for Kolivan.”
The words strike right through Lance’s sternum. And he didn’t even have his defenses up. He didn’t have time to prepare.
Although somewhere deep down, he knows that no time in the world could’ve prepared him for seeing Keith again.
or: Being stuck with his ex at a diplomatic conference for a solid month is super cool and very fun. Because Lance is over him. Obviously. He so is.

The most handsome man Lance had ever laid eyes on, smiling wanly at him from the doorway, his red and white paladin armour scuffed and dirty, but still somehow shining.
Lance smiled back, his body sunken into the soft sheets and pillows that covered their bed, watching as Keith moved away from the doorway, his shape partially obscured by the gauzy hangings of their four-poster.
Lance’s legs were bare, exposed from shorts that had ridden too high up his legs. He’d fallen victim to the slight chill of the draughty castle, but it was a small price to pay for the lingering gaze of his fiance’s eyes, one glove-covered hand wrapped fully around his ankle, thumb rubbing back and forth over the jut of the bone.
“Hey, pretty,” Keith murmured.

Alternatively, Keith comes home from a rough mission and Lance is so in love.
